The backbone of any great pond aerator or lake aeration system is located inside the air compressor enclosure (cabinet). Overall, the best all around air compressor for pond and lake aeration is heavy duty, high pressure, dual piston air compressors. These air compressors provide great airflow rates at either low or high back pressures due to long aeration tubing runs or deep water (greater than 10-12 feet) applications.
